Following the success of Naturalisten’s release “Forms”, E2-E8 is back with the latest offering from Milan-based artist Joseph Tagliabue. “Espansione” presents a meticulously crafted sonic exploration that transcends conventional genre boundaries. It is a double LP consisting of four distinct parts: an ambient concept presented in Part 1 & 2, and four techno tracks in Part 3 & 4. This structure makes for a multifaceted listening experience, seamlessly blending organic textures with synthetic manipulations.

Part 3 & 4 pivot towards the dancefloor, presenting four tracks of driving, progressive techno. This transition from meditative ambient to hypnotic rave is executed with precision, showcasing Tagliabue’s versatility. These cuts are designed for late-night immersion, while maintaining the album’s overall sense of depth and trance and channeling a deep, immersive rave experience.

The album as a whole is a sophisticated sound collage, highlighting Tagliabue’s mastery of sonic manipulation. The dense sonic flow, characterised by echoes of distant temples and molten synthetic modulations, creates a compelling auditory and potentially visual experience. The interplay between organic and synthetic, combined with the album’s thematic depth, makes Espansione a noteworthy evolution in Joseph’s artistic expression. A work designed to be both deeply listened to, and physically experienced.

Label head Len Faki joins forces with Icelandic dub techno pioneer Exos for Infinity In Loop, a joint exploration into cavernous depths and shifting tonal landscapes.
Two versions of the title track fill the entire A-side, each unfolding with patient intent. Drifting across icy atmospheres and static hums, Infinity In Loop’s first incarnation slowly builds into a mesmerizing, minimalistic loop—punctuated by delicate percussion and a faint, comforting sprinkle of melodic warmth amidst the arctic chill. The second iteration leans more into a classic 90s dub techno framework, launching straight into a steady pulse anchored by echoing chord pairs and crisp, high-energy percussion.
On the B-side, the duo shifts towards raw, dancefloor-driven territory. Aurora delivers impressive tension with dry, jacking rhythms, snappy percussion, and haunting vocal fragments cut up to drive the groove forward. Closing out the EP, Circuit Flux pairs sub-heavy low-end with unpredictable rave energy. Nostalgic 90s vocal cues, pitched-up hooks, and fidgety FX swell and recede over staunch synths—creating a dynamic, deeply layered track that constantly shifts between space and peak-time momentum.

Recorded Things reaches its 50th release with a new vinyl record by label owner Oliver Rosemann.

Rosemann works with tightly reduced structures, obsessive sequences and small, continuous mutations, balancing scientific precision with physical pressure. Tension develops through layering, subtraction and detail rather than obvious gestures, giving the tracks a focused, almost architectural sense of movement.

Terence Fixmer reworks the material through his own vocabulary of dark machine funk, EBM tension and controlled industrial pressure.

For catalogue number 50, the collaboration brings together two individual artistic languages with a shared sense of restraint, intensity and structural clarity.

Following his recent appearance on Blueprint, Mark Broom returns to the label with a unique project, revisiting the work of techno pioneer Regis. Entitled "Power Is Neutral", the release sees Broom rework a selection of seminal Regis recordings originally released on Downwards Records across the albums Gymnastics (1996), Delivered Into The Hands Of Indifference (1998) and Penetration (2001).

Known as one of the key architects of the Birmingham techno sound, Regis (Karl O'Connor) helped shape British techno through his work as co-founder of Downwards Records and a catalogue that continues to influence generations of artists.

For Mark Broom, few artists embody British rave culture quite like Regis. Drawing on source material that has long stood as a cornerstone of UK techno, Broom approaches these edits with both respect and imagination. As Regis puts it, "Mark Broom is like some modern day Bagpuss... he has fired up his techno mouseorgan and polished old relics to make them all shiny and new."

Power Is Neutral delivers six expertly crafted reinterpretations that bridge the raw energy of Regis' original works with Broom's unmistakable contemporary dancefloor sensibility, bringing these timeless tracks to a new generation of listeners.

Per Hammar returns to his own Dirty Hands imprint with the four-track ‘Ontario EP’, once again showcasing his raw, robust and groove-led style.

Swedish producer and DJ Per Hammar has steadily carved out a reputation as one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary underground electronic music. As the founder of the acclaimed Dirty Hands imprint, Hammar has built a platform synonymous with deep, groove-led and uncompromising club music, while other productions have found homes on some of the scene's most respected labels including Sushitech, Kalahari Oyster Cult and Craigie Knowes. Here we see him returning to his own home and delivering stripped-back late-night tools, psychedelic excursions and deep, hypnotic dancefloor journeys. Hammar consistently balances functionality with personality, a quality that has established him as one of Europe's most respected underground talents.

Title cut ‘Ontario’ leads with Per laying down crisp, crunchy drums alongside dubby bass tones, fluttering stab sequences and intricate modulations, all delicately ebbing and flowing throughout the composition. ‘Off Disk’ follows, fusing organic percussive elements with weighty sub-bass, shifting synth flourishes and bubbling, delayed melodies that steadily unfold across the groove.

Carl Cox drags Renegade Soundwave’s “The Phantom” back onto the dancefloor with a fierce, high-pressure rewire built for peak-time systems. Running at 130BPM, the mix combines pounding techno kicks, snapping breakbeats and metallic percussion with dark, rolling bass and flashes of rave-era synth energy. Chopped vocal chants and distorted samples cut through the rhythm, steadily increasing the tension before the track erupts into a relentless, warehouse-sized groove. Raw, physical and deliberately uncompromising, it preserves the original’s rebellious industrial spirit while giving it the weight, momentum and modern production power of a full-blooded Carl Cox club weapon.

Mr C breaks into Renegade Soundwave’s “Probably a Robbery” and escapes with a hypnotic, acid-soaked rewire designed for the darker reaches of the dancefloor. The difference between the artists is clear, but never disruptive. Eluna Vex and A.B.E.L. bring separate ideas to the record, yet their tracks feel closely related in character, depth and attitude. These rare unreleased tracks were a part of collection of recordings made specifically for the Jeff Mills Live At Liquid Room DJ Mix film/audio recording in 1995. Finalized and mastered only to ¼' reel to reel tapes, these recordings sat undisturbed and never heard since those infamous two nights in Tokyo.

Created along with the most notable track "i9", in this time period, Mills was also composing music for releases such as Waveform Transmission 5 (that was never released) and the initial tracks for the first release of the label Purpose Maker.

YARN welcomes René Audiard for its tenth release with "Makes Me Feel", a four-track EP from one of underground electronic music’s most singular voices.

Across years of dub techno, minimal and leftfield electronic experimentation, René has developed an approach to stripped-down music that feels anything but limited. Where minimalism can often become an exercise in taking things away, his work finds possibility in what remains. "Makes Me Feel" is a particularly fitting example: immersive, at times strange, but always full of feeling.

‘Lovin’ opens the EP in familiar Audiard territory: murky low-end, locomotive groove, reduced rhythmic compositions and an understated framework swimming in a pool of detail. 'Possession' lets in more light. Vocal echoes, persistent rhythms and occasional string phrases give it a cinematic quality, while a groove that seems to circle endlessly takes on an almost shamanistic pull. The EP’s 11-minute behemoth, 'Flesh', fills most of the release’s B-side while making a convincing case for patience and sophistication. There are echoes of minimal’s golden age here, but Audiard never mistakes repetition for standing still. Tiny rhythmic fragments sit alongside expansive orchestral gestures, with samples working at every scale of the arrangement. Warmth and cinematic drama run through the track, but it's the playful programming underneath that keeps it moving. 'Night' closes the record on a different note, recalling Audiard’s work with Ali Çakır in Düve. Percussive samples, accordion and Middle Eastern guitar phrases bring a more acoustic character to his reduced 808-infused broken beats, making for a playful, occasionally melancholic ending with a distinctly microtonal feel.

What makes René Audiard’s music so rewarding is how readily you recognize his hand in it. There is a particular grain to the sounds, a way of placing details within a groove, and a willingness to follow an idea wherever it leads. Across “Makes Me Feel”, those instincts give four quite different tracks a shared identity. Even when working within familiar forms, Audiard makes them sound entirely his own. It’s the holy grail of music production: a personal sound signature. And a thoughtful addition to YARN’s growing repertoire of reduced, sophisticated dancefloor music.

For over three decades, Berlin-based DJ, producer, and curator Marcel Dettmann has remained a central force in electronic music, continuously pushing the boundaries of the craft. Deeply rooted in early influences ranging from post-punk and industrial to synth-pop, his dynamic DJ sets and expansive discography, including seminal releases on Ostgut Ton and Dekmantel, effortlessly weave together raw techno, Chicago house, electro, and avant-garde soundscapes.

Far beyond club booths and releases on his own imprints, MDR and Bad Manners, Dettmann’s multidisciplinary ethos has led him into artistic territories spanning gallery soundscapes, ballet compositions, and cinematic film scores. This relentless creative curiosity defines a career built at the intersection of dancefloor functionality, collaborative experimentation, and perpetual sonic evolution.

Dettmann introduced My Own Shadow last year, a project where music, visual art, and photography converged in two EPs, Approaching (2025) and Faultline (2026) prior to the release of the full album this coming Autumn. More than just a name, this project lets sound, image, and vision blend organically, reflecting his intuitive process of deconstruction, resonance, and emotional discovery.

Speaking about the project Marcel says “My Own Shadow wasn’t born from a big concept. I simply liked the idea of working under another name and started following it. Different things I was doing - music, photography, visual work - slowly began to connect.

It happened quite naturally. My Own Shadow is me - just seen from another perspective.” Neither an alter ego nor a departure, My Own Shadow: Album is an intimate reflection of the artist; a transient, ever-shifting form that dances with the light and subtly reshapes its contours to reveal new depths.

My Own Shadow: Album is built with textural minimalism through rhythm, tension and release, embarking on a path through the recollections and experience of the dancefloor. This space remains the ultimate proving ground where history, instinct, and transcendence collide, guiding Dettmann through his musical interests.

pdqb has been spending an increasing amount of time on the Blue Planet lately. From his perspective, this was never going to end well.
With an intelligence operating several evolutionary levels beyond anything currently available to humanity, pdqb identified the problem almost instantly. Humanity's operating system had developed a number of serious inefficiencies, and the planet was clearly heading in the wrong direction. Even artificial intelligence would not be of much help here: created by humans and trained on human knowledge, it remains, in pdqb's estimation, a rather primitive form of intelligence compared to the cognitive systems he carries within himself.
So pdqb has decided to intervene - personally, and in human form. His identity will remain undisclosed. His intervention, however, will be unmistakable: a brief intelligence boost, followed by approximately 10.000 years of world peace.
It will be fine.
Contact Imminent contains three transmissions from pdqb himself, carrying his characteristic Electro-Cognition signature sound - three pieces of evidence that the future is still worth saving.
For the B-side, pdqb selected two Earthlings whose music he already appreciated, but whose name was particularly appropriate for the occasion: Extrawelt.
Because after the intervention, this planet will no longer be what it was. It will not be the old world, nor simply a new one.
